About the Desk

The Israel Desk is an independent news publication that covers Israel, the wider Middle East and the Jewish world. It launched in 2026 and publishes in nine languages: English, Hebrew, Arabic, Persian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Russian.

Our sections follow the stories that shape life in Israel and the region: the security situation and the war front, government and politics, the Iranian threat, antisemitism around the world, diplomacy, the economy, technology, health, culture, sport and practical guides for readers who live in Israel or plan to visit.

How the site works

New reports are published around the clock and appear first on the Breaking page. Every article carries its publication date, and articles that receive substantial updates show an update date as well. Commercial material is kept apart from our reporting and always appears under the Desk Wire label.
