The Israel Desk

Picture Policy

Articles on The Israel Desk carry two kinds of images, and the caption tells you which one you are looking at.

Photographs

When an image is a photograph, its caption carries a credit that names the photographer, agency or source after the word "Photo". Photographs are used as documentation of what they show.

Digital illustrations

Many featured images are digital illustrations created for the article. They set the scene and name the subject in a short caption, and they link back to this page. An illustration is not a photograph of the event described in the article and should never be read as documentary evidence.

Questions and complaints

If you believe an image is wrongly credited, misleading in context or infringes your rights, contact us through the form at the top of any page and we will review it.
