The Israel Desk

Accessibility Commitment

The Israel Desk is meant to be readable by everyone, on any device, in every one of its nine languages.

Built into the site

Pages use semantic structure with real headings, labeled forms and text alternatives for images. The site works with a keyboard alone, keeps visible focus outlines and respects your system's reduced motion setting. Right-to-left editions are laid out natively, not mirrored as an afterthought.

The display settings

The "Display" button at the top of every page opens settings that are saved on your device: larger or smaller text, high contrast, grayscale, underlined links, a plain font, wider spacing and a switch that stops animations.

Known limits

Posts embedded from outside platforms, such as X and YouTube, are rendered by those platforms and may fall short of our own standards.

Tell us

If anything on the site is hard to use with assistive technology, write to us through the contact form. Reports like these get fixed first.
